In reality, the sheet is nice and smooth, but not to the extent that babies can't get traction on it. I've already washed this sheet a few times, and it holds up well, just getting softer and more comfy with each wash. It's nice and tightly fitted, and goes over our Sealy mattress easily, but stays tight to keep baby safe. I would definitely buy again.
